Aside from his work for the Supreme Court, Justice Feria also played a role in the revision of the Philippine Constitution when he represented the First District of Rizal in the Constitutional Convention of 1971.

He is best known and remembered as an educator who played a key role in the training and development of several generations of Filipino lawyers – a distinction held only by a few—thanks mainly to the books he authored which continue to be used by law students and law practitioners to this day. Indeed, according to those who knew him best, he loved the academe and devotedly took part in honing the minds of many great lawyers. His authoritative and well-respected commentaries on the Rules of Court are truly a testament to his exceptional legal mind.
